Соответственно, как поясняет TrendForce со ссылкой на южнокорейские СМИ, в 2024 году Samsung удалось продать 5,21 млн смартфонов с гибким дисплеем и складным корпусом. Итоги текущего года пока не подведены, но имеющиеся данные позволяют предположить, что компании удалось продать более 6 млн устройств такого типа. По сути, их популярность планомерно растёт, и упоминаемый рубеж в 7 млн штук не кажется столь недосягаемым для результатов следующего года.
Как отмечают южнокорейские СМИ, серия Galaxy Z Fold пользуется растущим спросом, а вот семейство Flip должно снизить вес и уменьшить толщину корпуса, чтобы приблизиться к ней в популярности. Кроме того, «раскладушки» Samsung классической компоновки должны потерять в цене, чтобы прибавить в популярности. Если в 2023 году серия Flip разошлась тиражом 3,66 млн экземпляров, то в 2024 году было продано только 2,89 млн соответствующих устройств. В текущем году серия Flip уступила первое место продукции Motorola на рынке США, и одной из причин такого замещения является более низкая цена нового лидера, которая на 37 % ниже.
Семейство Galaxy Z Fold при этом набирает популярность. В 2023 году оно разошлось тиражом 2,09 млн штук, годом позже было продано 2,32 млн смартфонов этой серии, а высокая популярность Galaxy Z Fold 7 в текущем году может поднять эту планку ещё выше. И Apple, и Samsung вынуждены делать ставки на новые складные модели, чтобы привлечь к своей продукции внимание покупателей.
Дебютирующий 5 декабря Galaxy Z TriFold при цене около $3000 планируется реализовать в количестве от 20 до 30 тысяч штук в первые недели после анонса, а его географическое распространение будет ограничено Китаем, Сингапуром, Тайванем, ОАЭ и собственно домашним рынком Южной Кореи.
